Purpose of Program
The Social Skills Group aims at providing children between 3 to 8 the opportunity to develop and enhance their social skills within a small group setting and a comfortable, supportive environment. There are three different levels of groups: Novice, Intermediate and Advance. The participants will be matched and grouped based on their interests, personality and therapy goals.
The sessions are structured with fun play-based activities, preset social scenarios, explicit teaching of targeted social skills, role play and social games. This program runs termly and participants are encouraged to enrol for at least one full term in order to work on their targeted skills and establish a longer term relationship with group mates.
