Purpose of Program 

The Compass Learning Group is an early intervention program run by Speech Pathologist to provide children between 2 to 6 with skills across all areas in their life so they can experience an all-rounded learning. It is most suitable for children and families who have multiple goals and areas to include in the intervention.

The program is conducted in a small group with between 2-3 participants in one group so therapist can provide highly intensive input to each of the participants. Learning with peers in a group environment also create a positive and motivating learning experience. The participants will be grouped according to their developmental age, level of skills and interests.

• Hand strength and finger skills 

• Social play skills

• Early literacy and numeracy 

• School readiness 

• Mealtime engagement with peers

• Self-care skills e.g. packing belongings, self-feeding, toileting

• Transition between tasks and areas 

• Strategies development to support child’s learning

Program Details 

The Compass Learning Group runs over 10 weeks with 2 hours per week, a total of 20 hours of face-to-face intervention, plus 15 minutes of capacity building with parents after each session and 1 hour of therapy progress summary at the end of each intervention block. The program is located at St Clair Centre from Monday to Friday. Participants can enroll for up to 3 days per week. 

Fees 

$96.99 per hour x 2 hours + 15 minutes progress reporting per session

$193.99 x 1 therapy progress summary per block
